I don't start till October 1st. I really wish that I could get out in Wisconsin starting the 13th but I really don't have the time to do it not to mention the extra money for out of state licenses.

Well my season is now looking up! I was just given approval to hunt 400 acres of private property in central IL. This is 10x's better then any land I had planned on hunting this year!!!! Now if Oct 1st would just get here!!!

Our team thread has gotten real quiet. Has anyone heard from Bawanajim yet? He is the only one that hasn't checked in yet.

my weekend consisted of elk, a few whitetail does and one bull moose .. the bull was pretty cool, standing at 10 yards broadside for about 3-4 minutes.. I was hunting out of a natural blind..off the ground.. got some nice footage of him. The Northern winds all weekend kept me out of two of my best whitetail areas.. Headed out again today after work.

J, sweet pick up on the land good luck with it!

That would be awsome to see a moose that close! I am really excited about this new land. I just wish I had some time to get down and scout it before the opener but it doesn't look like that will happen. But if it is as good as they say I should be fine!

I have been really whacked at work , I was behind before I left and I'm still getting things going again. Once things get back to normal I'll be here to make fun of what some of these losers call teams.

I had as great a time as a country boy can have in the city. I wish city life on no one.
just happy to be back to reality and country life.
Hows $ 12.00 for a cheese burger and another eight for a beer? kinda makes you glad to kill deer.
