Bruh.. we're teammates! Hey all, I'm Josh and I'm from Ohio, which explains the clever name.. The quick "about me" version: I'm 42, an Ohio "statie" cop, single dad of a couple beautiful teenage daughters, and engaged to an awesome woman that gives me zero grief about my outdoors obsessions. I have vacation scheduled from Oct 27 - Nov 26, so if I don't contribute a load of points, I suck!! I live in Westerville ( Columbus metro area), but most of my hunting is done in southeast Ohio. I'm stoked to be on Team 1 and think we have a damn good looking lineup! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haha!! Come get your beer brother! Lol.. Are you guys planning on coming to Ohio this season? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Slackers.. Let me know when you get a plan/time frame together. I took a month off! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey I'm not on your team but I'm down for a beer lol my home town of bellefontaine has a bar that was awarded #1 sports bar in the state!!!!! Brewfountaine baby!!! Best beer and food you'll ever have Mike4christ
Maybe Fitz will hook us up with an expansion draft kinda deal.. like we could snatch players from other teams. If not, whatever... we totally got this!
Thanks Mike. A little far of a drive for me, but if I'm ever in Ohio I can hit you up. I do plan on hunting there in the next few years.
Hey, checking in. My name is Keith, live in KY but work and hunt in WV mainly although I have a farm that I can hunt in south central KY also. WV hunting is in bow only counties of that state so I have been fortunate the last couple of years to take a couple of good bucks. Hope my luck continues. Looks like a great team and am looking forward to sharing experiences this hunting season.
Hey guys. Some how we missed dnoodles in the drawing process, so he's been assigned in the Alternates place for your team
yo yo yo checking in! Yeah, out of all people they somehow missed me, but 24 teams' loss is Team 1's gain! Or so I hope. What I don't contribute in inches (hey hey) I hope to contribute in entertaining banter and the occasional rant. I had the luck to be on Holt's team last year; that MONSTER will be hard to top but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I'm 40, live in effing IL (for now) but hunt private land in Adams Co WI, and public land in Berrien (southwest MI) and Isabella/Montcalm Counties (mid MI) as well. Depending on how the rest of my season pans out I may hit OH down near Chillicothe. All told I get to spend about 3-4 weeks total in the stand. I only run cameras on our WI land and only made it out 1x so far to check cams. We only had a couple of contenders on camera, but we are making 1 last card pull run on Labor Day. Last year we had a couple 150-ish running around regularly and year before a couple of legit 170+. we've had this guy on cam since 2014...that year he was a 170" 5.5 year old (est. age.) This is him last year as a 7.5 on Oct. 3 at 10:30am...right under my stand. Of course I wasn't there.
Boonerville checking in! I'm Jordan. I'm 30 and live in Southern Iowa. I am beyond excited for this season. I hunt primarily private ground, combination of owned/leased/permission, as well as some public here and there. I will say that I have more mature bucks on camera this summer than any year I have previously, but that being said, 2 of my spots are brand new this year. I have a semi-live thread on here where I have been detailing my season as it progresses. As far as contributing points, I have one deer on my mind. If I kill him, he will be my biggest ever. that also means I will likely be passing a lot of great bucks I might normally shoot. Last year I was in the same boat and passed multiple 150"+ deer waiting for an opportunity at a 200 incher I was after, and I ultimately ended up missing him. I ended up killing a different buck on January 9th. The good news is I have 3 buck tags, so If conditions are not right for the farm I am hunting my number one buck on I will shoot a mature buck on another farm if given a chance. Last year i shot 9 does, so hopefully that won't be an issue. I'm super excited to be on Team 1! Hopefully everybody lays down a giant!
Nice! I've been following your semi-live thread, Jordan.. awesome stuff. I definitely have my fingers crossed that you kill that monster! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
