Oh I forgot to mention, If I dont have to work Ill be headed back to Illinois this weekend. No snow this round and the timing is better. I almost guarentee some shed finds. Will be hunting the very big thicket we found toward the end of the hunt. Its absolutly tore up with Deer sign and has the 2 biggest rubs I have ever seen in it. Will get some photos of the rubs when im there.
Well didn't get anything after logging A TON of miles and time...all I have to show is some great scouting and a dead head.
Found 3 deadheads this weekend and one small chewed up shed. I'll post a pic of the shed when I get a chance. I tried to post it already with my phone but it kept screwing up, so I'll try again later after work.
man im ready to find some sheds..... This storm heading my way looks like a bad one.....could be awhile before i get to go back out.
If all goes as planned tomorrow I will be walking all day scouting and looking for sheds. I have a pretty fair chance at finding something since nobody else shed hunts on the 1100 acres I will be walking tomorrow.
Here is the small chewed up shed that I found last weekend. Didn't find anything yesterday. It was horrible trying to go through the woods with everything being iced over. I did happen to see an 8 pt with both sides still on, and my brother saw a couple with both sides still on, so hopefully they will really start dropping in the next week or so.

nodda again for me this week. and we are supposed to be getting another 6 to 12 inches monday night into tuesday. maybe i can get out next weekend. goodluck everyone who gets to go out before then!!
Well, the wife and I got to look for a couple hours today. We came up with 2 matched sets. She got one set and I got another. Not a lot to show for the weekend but at least I got 2 more.
Tyler and I hit it hard on Saturday and came up with nothing. Seen 80-90 deer with only two bucks carrying but couldn't find a shed. We were in good stuff all day and were really surprised. Hopefully the sheds are buried in the snow and we will have better luck once it melts. Tim
Man several inches of snow so far this afternoon with more expected by midnight. Hopefully sometime in March I will be able to get after it and get some finds.
Heading back out again tomorrow with the wife. Hopefully they are starting to drop a little more. I plan on walking several miles tomorrow.
really hopin i can go out this weekend and look. lotta snow on the ground, but i know there are sheds to be found. i might go out with my nephew on my inlaws farm this afternoon. small property, but has some absolute monsters on it.
Well guys I have had a dry run going on lately. no sheds the last 6 times out but found a very nice Dead head this morn. Its a heart breaker, will post pics soon. Im going back out this evening.
Well I go back to working nights tomorrow, so after taking the dog to the vet in the morning I will be walking a new property. I am really optimistic about finding some sheds there because I know other people have found some there in the past and I will be the only one walking it. So hopefully I will have some more to add to the score in the morning sometime.
