Another slow day on my lease. Had one hen come by this morning and that's it. No gobbles, no toms....just don't know what happened to all the birds on this property over the last couple of years. Land owner says he still sees groups of birds all over in the different fields, but I never seem to get any to gobble....
The guy can go all the way to St Louis for a friggin hockey game but cant go to KS to kill stuff.... wtf
Never gotten an invite.....and the trip to st.louis was for the wife, so she would get off my *** about going camping/hunting the rest of the week....she's been really clingy the last couple of months, very unusual for her....
Changing it up today. Trying out some public land. Got 3-4 birds gobbling in different locations, but nothing that sounds too terribly close, and at least one is in the other side of a very big gully....

Got out for the last hour with my dad and I called in a nice one. Killed him at 11:40! The latest I've ever killed one. He's got a 10" beard and 3/4" spurs. Unfortunately it was with a gun so it won't count for this contest but it was an awesome hunt and I'll remember it for a long long time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
