I got fri/sat off, will spend those days fishing, then work 4, have 2 off, which will be spent turkey/mushroom hunting, then work 3, then 5 off for hunting/camping/fishing...
No it's dragging!! I can't hunt until the 30th!! Ugghhh! Birds have disappeared too! Hope they show back up!
Went scouting this morning lots of birds in my usual hot spot. Got video of a jake breeding a couple hens. Never saw that before. Also had a spike with both of last years rack left on his head. It's a wonder why I struggled finding the usual sheds this year. Next weekend I've got a kid for youth season and then it's only a week until it's game time for me in New York! This is how I spent my day.... Caught about 60-70 small ones, and only 4 decent crappie and 1 bluegill big enough to keep....all in all a good day spent out with my dad though.

Just a quick question about it. I have bought several things in the past and never had any issues with the people I've purchased from. I recently, 2 weeks ago, sent money to a guy selling me a Eberlestock backpack for when I bow hunt elk in September. Found a price with him, paid him, and haven't heard from him in about two weeks. I don't want to jump right to the conclusion that he ripped me off, but I'm starting to wonder why he hasn't contacted me about him shipping it. I looked at a bunch of his previous posts too and it looks like he is reputable. Ever have this happen? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Contact him and see if he received payment. If he has, find out what's going on with him shipping the item. Also when doing a purchase like this it is best not to use cash. Always try to use check, money order, or Paypal so you can confirm receipt of payment. If you just mail cash there is no way to confirm he did in fact receive payment. I try to always be easy going with the person I'm buying from, if he seems reputable in the past, chances are he will be this time, may just had some problems or something that came up and is lagging behind on getting it shipped.
I paid with PayPal and he let me know he received it. Gave him my address and just haven't heard from him or received any thing. Everyone else I bought from let me know right when the sent the item and gave me a tracking number. He hasn't replied to my last three messages. Can't help but be skeptical! Alright guys, what do I do? I roosted two birds last night, and then this morning they gobbled for 10-15 minutes until they flew down, they flew down the opposite way and shut up completely.
Spit, cuss and Hollar and call them stupid birds....gonna happen to you a bunch if you stick with hunting turkeys. I would just stay patient, call some, but not too much, and hope for the best. They probably flew down and went straight to a hen, once they are done they could circle back to you. This is why there is the saying roosted don't mean roasted....
