one more bird will keep us champs guys! We have 234.5 points. Team 3 is up on us with 271.3125. That is only a difference of 36.8125. One bird can do it!!!!
Several years ago I went to the Bowhunting.com GTG. Is there still an annual GTG? I don't find any posts about it.
They are not holding the GTG anymore. At least not this year anyway, remains to be seen going forward from what I understand. I believe Ferg is still organizing the camping event and that will be held regardless.
Notice the way he completely ignored your urging for your team to kill another bird and changed subjects... I think your team has thrown in the towel buddy.
I haven't given up yet. i'll be at it in the morning and the rest of this week. thought about blasting a jake but 20 points won't be enough so i'll continue to hold out for a big one.
A Jake is only worth 20 points if for some reason you can't score it!! A 17lb Jake with a 4" beard and 1/2" Spurs would score a 35 so a decent Jake might put us over!!
I'll take the blame for us failing if we don't happen to get another bird...2 years in a row I've went scoreless....
I hunt turkeys harder than I ever have before. I like how the competition pushed me to hunt more in focus on my bow usually by this time of season I just take out my gun. It only added to the excitement of the season. Thanks to all those who participated and encouraged all of us.
couple days left for me still. birds are getting quieter now. i'll keep the jake score in my mind if I get another shot. no one is to blame for anything. it's all for fun. but I do wonder where a couple of our teammates went? they checked in and then we never heard anything from them. I checked josephmartn and the last time he posted on this forum was when he checked in with our team. not sure what happened.
Can't blame anyone for anything! You do the best you can !! I have had my share of years where I wasn't successful!! It's about having fun!
