Well nothing this morning fellers! It got windy right after first light and it was swirling all over the place. I wanna go this evening but I don’t want the wind to possibly screw up and spook anything. Good luck to those that are hunting this evening

Checked cameras today and two out of the three didn’t work. Had a family get together this evening at a pond in the woods. Not many deer moving this evening so I am going to skip the morning hunt. Got one more camera to check tomorrow. Hopefully be able to load a some pics up

Still looking... it’s one of those weird hits! Broadside shot, its low right behind the shoulder but looked like exit was up towards mid body.

Very strange looking hit and blood has all but stopped. I’m about to start a grid search but I’m starting to think it was just low enough to not any vitals nor cut an artery. The weird thing is, I’m missing about 10” of my arrow, fletching side! It’s still in her so that tells me it should be in the cavity and possibly blocking the holes... I’m very confused if y’all can’t tell! I just wish I could be more sure on what exactly happened.

Here she is guys... got her posted up on the scorecard too. A991A0E6-6F9C-49D2-A2F0-AC98790E69A9.jpeg It kinda sucks that my participation (score wise) is over with already.

I also have my answer as to why everything looked funny after the shot! I had the exit part correct but my entrance was lower than I thought. Those lighted nocks can throw you off. Also it turned out to be more quartering away than broadside, I do know she reacted because my entrance was definitely low and back pictured here 59CFC8C2-F425-4353-8ACB-A03D059AC7B7.jpeg And the exit 8652A09E-4718-4A71-97BD-DBCEAECB0C0C.jpeg
It was definitely not the best shot by any means, I’m not happy with it. Tracked her 400+ yards, I am thankful to have found her!

Huge congratulations you to bud! A buck and a doe entered into the contest and both taken with a recurve.

    Very impressive. :tu:

That is why I put it on the fence to get some cool pictures but I didn’t get any bucks jumping it.

Getting closer to rutcation. I’ll be hunting hard between VA and MD. This buck has not showed back up on camera since I sent an arrow his way... has me scratching my head.[IMG]
