Ok guys, I need some input from the team on a few thoughts: We only have one member that hasn't checked in as of yet. I have sent a PM to the member, and I hope to see this member check in this weekend. I realize life gets in the way sometimes. That being said, what are the collective thoughts about going ahead with selecting a team name once everyone has a chance to vote or offer additional names for consideration? Should we impose a deadline for name submission and selecting a winning team name? Does anyone have photoshop or graphic skills to whip up a team avatar, and signature banner? I know some several forum members offered their talents to other teams last year, so that is a possibility as well. I feel we should be moving toward selecting a team name, and getting an avatar and banner designed in the next 5 to 7 days. We already know we have a good team...................now, let's give this machine a name and get rolling! Whats the deadline on a replacement? I'd say give the guy a good 7-10 days and ask for a replacement. My vote is for "Death From Above". No need to wait on him. Let's move forward!!!
The contest rules allow 2 weeks to get checked in. (It states on or about Sept. 1st). I think "Death from Above" is a fine team name, and it appears to be the majority choice. We have put the team name to bed.............."Death from above" it is. Now, we just need to get an avatar/banner whipped up and we are rolling!

looks like my season is off to a great start, someone stole one of my stands...gotta love that! Its a great spot, but I don't wanna lose anymore gear. I think im going to build something permanent, or weld up a homemade climber that I can securely lag to the tree in such a fashion that it will take forever to remove. Any ideas?
woodsy I feel your pain me and my son went to get one of his trial cams this morning and it is gone when we put up stands we put two chains on them so if they are going to take one they are going to work for them
That sucks! I just picked up one of my cameras today, I`m worried about it getting stolen. Its too bad people cant just leave stuff alone. I guess I would rather lose a stand than a camera though, who knows what kind of pics were on your camera. By the way, where in NH are u from? I`ve got some family in NH
I've been the victim of stolen tree stands, and on our property too. It sucks to show up to hunt, and find your stand missing. If you replace it with a homemade stand, just be sure it's sturdy and safe, and always wear a safety harness. Safety first above everything else. I don't think we have trespassing problems on our property any more, but I don't want to take a chance on my trail cameras. I lock my cameras up with a master lock python cable and a padlock. Hunting gear, especially trail cameras, cost way too much to leave unsecured. Im my book, there just isn't much worse than a thief. I don't understand how anyone can call themselves an outdoorsman, or a hunter, and steal from another hunter. If we would all look out for one another, this world would be a far better place!

Maybe someone, or a moderator or administrator can help me with another "housekeeping" item. I would like to change the title of our team thread here to: Team #1 - Death from Above From the current thread title that looks like this: <*<*<*<*< Official Team #1 Thread >*>*>*>*> I tried to edit the thread title, but it won't cooperate. (I think maybe I have to get a moderator or admin. to do that?) If anyone has any ideas on how to get this done, please let me know. Thanks!!!
Good job Heckler! Unless someone comes up with something else that the team would have to vote on, I say we go with your avatar and banner. I really appreciate you stepping up and putting those together. I'd say your creativity is just fine!
