My hunt started at 4 AM and I am just now finishing up. I've seen a PILE of does, a few small bucks, and a truck load of turkeys. One of which I wish I would have shot. I'll keep after it all week! Cold front is going to move in Tuesday!
We'll guys back to work Tomorrow... I was unable to get a buck down during my week off last week. Saw 2 shooters but it just didn't work out. We still have a lot of standing corn in my area and it made things tough.. Almost every buck chasing ended up in the corn if they weren't already there. Good news is I will have next weekend to try to get it done and the farmers have started picking Saturday. Good luck to everyone in the stand this week!
Well finished my last sit in Illinois for this year. Was a good five days and now it's time to head to Colorado to do a little flying!

We're looking good guys! My personal goal for the contest this year was try to finish up inside the top 10. Thanks to the great bunch of dedicated bowhunters on this team, we are a running solid 2nd. I'm doing all I can to put another 50 up for us, as that's all I can add for this year. I know we still have a few guys that are going to put some antler on the ground, so keep up the good work! Above all else, hunt safe out there, and enjoy every second of it. Contest aside, this is supposed to be FUN! I don't know about anyone else, but I'm enjoying the contest this year, and I couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys to share it with!
Absolutely! We`ve got a great team going, and I even ended up on Hecklers team again. Hes starting off a little slow this season though...
I told Heckler we are counting on at least 250 points from him this year. I think he is just being dramatic and waiting until late in the game to throw the smack down. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
Having fun is all that matters! It's a blast to have a small group to keep tabs on how seasons are going. Put my buck on the Bowhunting.com Facebook page maybe I'll make it on a show. Need Neal to pull some strings and get it on his episode since we doubled down on the same day for the team. Think that would be pretty cool personally!
It's getting really hot here with this cold weather. I saw 9 bucks today. 6 of them between 12:30 and 2 PM! 2 of them were dogging a big old doe. Only one of the 9 I would have considered to be a shooter. Going to set up tomorrow about 50 yards from where I sat today. I am on them!
Don't have any hero shots it was late by the time we got him and with my trip being short wanted to get him to the taxidermy and processor.
