    Monster Raxx

I have spent a lot of time working with him. I'm not sure he would listen to commands from someone else. At 2 years old he is the best dog I know of and I only spent $250 for him.

I leave for Iowa tomorrow morning. The buddy I got the permission from was there today to take down a fence. No one has shed hunted it. He found a dandy while working. He said if I find the other side he will give his to me so I have the set. First thing he said was your going to be pissed at me.

Dbl lung - how big is your property and how many acres of foodplots do you usually plant to keep those kind of deer numbers through winter?

The land is owned by my best friend. Id wouldnt know where to begin with the amount of investment in 700 acres with 35 acres of corn...some standing some brush hogged. 20 acres of beans. Aflalfa clover and bedding is mostly CRP which is where most sheds are found and where the dog comes in. And the neighbors chisel plow their fields mostly.

There is a lot more to come out of this property.

Monster Raxx do you comb through every little square inch of CRP or what is your strategy?

Was able to get out at lunch today. Walked 1 1/2 miles in the bedding area. No luck. We've been busy with repairing Tornado damage this week at work. Not much free time.

Keep at it guys. We are expecting snow again. Not that it is going to stick around but it will keep me out of the woods for a couple days. There are still a lot of reports of bucks holding antlers yet too. So don't hesitate to walk the same area 4 or 5 days apart. Good luck.

I'm with ya. I've never walked this much without at least a dink. I'm not done lookin' yet. This is the time of year that I seem to find the most of them anyway. We're supposed to get some snow also. We'll see how this goes.
