just seems later in the year then it really is. heck flowers are up here already. heck I even seen leaks growing yesterday. leaves are coming out and the grass is growing already. crazy! i'll take it any day over our usual snowfall.
walked another 5-6 miles. nothing. I did manage to find a couple more awesome hunting spots. I also found the deer in the clearcuts. looks like they are feeding on the briars. walking the giant oak flats have been worthless thus far. time to change it up on the next trip.
all we have is primarily woods. what farmland we have is so overrun with guys. not many deer there. I have a few spots there I will check anyway. still plenty of time even though I seen a guy mowing his grass today.
Any ground can be like this if you protect it and spend the money on the food to keep the deer there. Ill be back down Tuesday or Wednesday to walk the same areas as today and another are that has not been walked yet. This farm has yielded more and more sheds every year.
I can usually end up with about 12 from my in-laws. It has been tough this year. Not sure if someone else is hunting the neighboring properties or what is the issue. I'd like for it to cool off a little.
No luck again today. I'm heading to 2 different farms later in the week hopefully I start to find some. Sent from my SM-G920V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Found my second dead head of the year yesterday Still no sheds. Lots of them still holding in pictures yet.
10 more from IA property. I actually found the first four where the landowner looked Sunday. Then went to the opposite end of farm. Leo searched some CRP and found the 6 on the tailgate. I'm now tied for the most I've found ever.
