Time to start looking for me now. Checked cameras the other night. Noticed that one had both sides, next day he only had one, then I had one cross the road in front of me this morning with only one side.
I am going to try and get out Sunday. I hope I have the same kind of luck as I have trading craft beers this week
I have a few hours free this morning so I am heading over to that public land spot to try again. With these crazy temps the last few days for MN there is hardly any snow.
Here are 10 more from past few days. Still have not found many big sheds yet. The squirrels have also been eating well.
went 5-6 miles today and was in the heaviest deer sign I've seen in a while. didn't find a single shed. I did see 20 deer though. I might have a rough year finding sheds. there were so many acorns last fall the deer never grouped up for winter feed patterns. the deer sign was scattered everywhere. regardless i'll keep walking til it is too green to find any.
I'm pretty sure I'm on my way to the most I've ever found! Here r 2 more. The Ia farm where most come will produce about 30 more then I have found there so far. Have to wait till late March before all are off there tho.
Gosh dang Leo looks like mine. It's absolutely incredible what they find. I'm talking sheds I have been walking by for two, three, four and even more years. My dog turned three last year. First two years he was ok. I always beat him 2:1 on sheds. Last year he pulled 36 to my 16. It was incredible. I literally was to the point where I was just watching him because he found so many in a row with me not finding any. I went with a gf and he had never found many the few times we went previous years with her. Well, last year the one time we went he pulled decided he was walking with her everywhere. He was pulling sheds up behind her, in front of her and to her sides. She was getting frustrated cause her and I never found a one and he got six. Afterwards she says wow is he amazing. I'm getting a dog. As we were driving she is texting her husband saying we're getting a bone dog. He just schooled me and I couldn't find a thing. Lol. I was as proud as a peacock. Before I got a dog I always said I love seeing them as they lay and don't think I would want a dog. Well, now all I want is my dog to find them instead of me. Makes me so much happier and excited. Best feeling in the world watching him running back with one. I could tell stories for days
