Probably the 2 heaviest antlers I have ever found today. Then a decent 4 point side 15.3 miles today. A lot of ice in the woods found me on my hind end quite a few times. I'm sore to say the least. 3 more brings total to 112.
I'm at 11 now. 13 is my season record. Shouldn't have a problem passing that. I've only been out twice.
Nice work TC! I have been out nearly every day. Even the days I say I'm not going I end up walking 5 miles just cause I love the hiking and watching Leo is awesome!
I haven't looked in over a week but with all the snow I wont be looking at any of my MN spots for a while. I am going to Iowa for 4 days in the middle of March and will try and get a couple more days in Iowa earlier if possible. This is the latest I have gone without finding a shed in quite some time
wont be getting out until next week. have to change the timing chains in my wife's acadia this weekend. good grief! I have to pull the motor to do it. hoping to have it back together by Monday. I don't feel like being a taxi.
17 more over the last couple days. 4 different farms. A lot of walking in the mud and riding on the land owners utv. Total is 132!
So I took the farmers cocker spanial with Leo and I. Talk about a fiascal. That dog had no idea what he was looking at. Leo ended up with a deep cut on his stomach, probably from a fence. We ended up with 7 more sheds this weekend which brings our total to 139. It is now snowing, blizzard like, outside! Hopefully this crap will be gone in a couple weeks. I'm gonna try and wrap our searching up then and concentrate on walleye fishing.
might want to take leo through there again without the other dog. I'm sure he was distracted. nice finds once again. still going to be a while for me to get out again. snow seems to be hanging around. one plus is that it will mat the leaves down again to make it easier to find the sheds. I still haven't made it to my good spots yet.
We were in Iowa all weekend at the Trophy Bucks of Iowa booth. That is a great time if you've never been there. It was our first time. Gonna try to get out this week. Now that hockey is over we have much more free time.
