Finally found one today. Looks like its from two years ago. I found the same exact side there last year.
well guys I didn't get out today like I wanted. I had more fun buying my 5 yr old boy a new .22 for his 6th birthday. we spent most of the afternoon shooting it. I had a blast watching his face light up every time he hit the target. took about 30 rounds before he hit the paint can we were shooting at. once he hit it he got better each shot. he has never shot a rifle until today. I have been waiting for this day for a long time.
Just went down that road with our 9 year old, Terry. He wanted a 870 youth shotgun. First shot was, OUCH DAD, that HURT!!! I explained, it would get better.
One more yesterday has me at 108. Things are coming to a close fast for me. April 8th is fast approaching.
I have to go to Pittsburgh for training for the next two days. after I get through this I will be starting to hit it hard. my buddy seen a buck yesterday still packing both sides. I think the mild winter in my area has a lot to do with low shed count for me. I'm just not finding antlers in my usual spots. still plenty of time here to find more.
I have ridden the atv a lot of miles in fields and walked 227.28 miles according my Garmen. I'm wondering how many miles Leo has ran? He is waiting to hit the IA CRP again maybe Thursday.
Saw a buck still holding half his rack last night. I'm in utter disbelief. Plan to do some door knocking Saturday and muscle in on his territory.
We found 2 today. Not much to brag about. I haven't figured out how to post pic's to this new format yet. We also found a dead. I believe I know when the neighbor shot this one.
I found 6 more today after walking nearly 14 miles. I dropped phone and now the pictures are screwed up so I'll take some with my wife's phone when I get the chance. One is nearly chewed away...not much left of it. One was hanging from a cedar branch but of course there won't be any pictures of it. Please Dont update count until I post pictures.
