freakin blizzard here with -10 wind chill! frustrating! I've decided to have my crew work everyday until it gets nice enough to get out then we will take our weekend days off. I'd rather work when it's crappy out anyway. good luck guys!
I went and walked my lease in WI. I hadnt found anything there in a while but that changed with this nice 64 1/2" 5 pt side. I think the neighbor has the other half. I'm going to have some time tomorrow afternoon to walk an area that connects to this lease. There have been some nice bucks seen in the fields around me recently. With this shed today I'm at a new record 62 and counting. Of course, Leo is a huge part of last year and this years success.
Found a really nice one yesterday from the truck. That makes 3 sheds and 2 dead heads on the year. Hoping he survives and gets bigger. Hopeing for at least 1 big kicker out of the weird shark teeth in his g2. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
10 more between yesterday afternoon and this morning. Up to 22 so far. We are heading into Des Moines for a banquet tonight. Might get out again tomorrow.
Ill be back in Iowa Wednesday depending on the snow fall. We figure there is around 30 sheds left to find. There are at least 4 of the biggest deer we have not found either side too, which is odd. April 8th will be my last day looking as I have a walleye tournament to prefish for. Bass fishing is also right around the corner. Ill be happy finding about 20 more between now and then. This is the period that I find most of them. But they are normally chewed significantly. Keep at it guys. There is a team out there ahead of us but there is a screw up in their count. I found it reading their thread. 18 =22....I don't think so. We shall see if anyone else catches it.
We had just a little snow yesterday. Enough to cover the timber in snow. It is gone now. This morning there were deer feeding in the food plot. The bucks were still carrying their antlers.
That sucks those are some nice bucks. Any of you guys use bushnell binoculars? Sent from my SM-G920V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
It's not a screw up, I just missed posting a four count day in between other posts. It was noted in one one of the posts. I'll throw them out if you like. I still have roughly 600 acres to hunt that I'm waiting on until we get it burnt off.
foodplot, it might be a good idea to write down our total. tomorrow the forum is getting overhauled. we don't want to lose our total if something crashes.
