Congrats Last! Your laying the hammer on those nanny's. It is November guys, tis the time for big boys to be up on their feet! Good luck and be safe out there

Nothing to be ashamed of Ill. Hard to shoot a high scoring 8 point. I saw 5 bucks last night, all chasing does. Moving in on them tonite.
Everybody said the rut was on, they forgot to tell the deer, took a week off and went to pike co. ILL and sat 14 sits and saw 5 fawns.... NO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, well done for a couple weeks, work, maybe able to sneek in 1 or 2 hunts..
Shot a big one tonight! 13-14 points real heavy. IPad won't allow me to upload pics. Will try to get some up tomorrow. Not sure when I'll get the scoring done. I should be able to get it done between processor and taxidermist. Guessing it's 160ish!
And if nothing comes in one the few teams in front of us that should put us in the lead! Team number 1 for a reason!
Let's keep at it guys ...been trying to lay a buck down been out every morning since Tuesday I may or may not hit it again tomorrow. I got off sat-weds hopefully ill add some more points by then! Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
Here are some pics finally! I took some more with a better camera at home with my bow in them but by then the deer was looking a little stiff and ragged. I'm having my photographer buddy clear them up when he gets a chance. The Story: I got to my stand right after work at about 3:15. I'm sitting on a ridge overlooking a bedding area that I know the bucks cruise a lot during the rut. I had several small bucks in the area during my mornig sit with a little bit of chasing just out of view from where I am. It was overcast with a 1-3 mph wind out of the north. I was texting back and forth with my boss about some work stuff for a few minutes right when I got into my stand. I wrapped that up and was ready to sit for the afternoon. I scanned the area once and then started over when at the bottom of the ravine I saw movement and a glimpse of white rack! Then I saw body and said to myself "that's a big deer!" I got my bino's up and saw he was real big but didn't bother to try and count points. I knew I wanted to shoot him if he came close. The buck continued down the ravine and was getting farther away. I wanted to try and do something to get him closer but was hesitant because I have never had any luck calling deer in, so I took out my grunt tube and gave him just a small grunt. That was enough for him and he turned around and started to make his way up the hill right at me. He got about 50 yards away and I drew my bow, then he was 35 yards and paused behind some trees. I just needed to settle in to my shot form and relax. I guess I held for about a minute and he finally continued on. He got to about 18 yards broadside at a slow walk and I let the arrow fly. My Noc-turnal lite up and I could see it hit a little back but was still a great shot getting both lungs with a total pass through. The buck didn't know what happened, did a quick run about 30 yards and stopped. He stood there and I could see his back end start to wobble. He went down and flopped over. A few last chokes of breath and he was done. I couldn't believe it! This is definately the biggest deer with a bow I have ever taken and depending on the final offical score maybe the biggest!
holy mass!!! That thing is a beast man!! Def bigger then 160! Congrats to you again.:D Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
