Great job Indy with your clean kill on that big ole girl.

Me and the boys got skunked again. Had five moving in on Saturday night, but ran out of shooting light. Next trip in two weeks.

I've been going out as much as I can, but I've been switching my properties and only hunting the right winds. Its to early to be hunting your best stands on iffy or bad winds. I have passed two eight pointers already. They just aren't what I looking for this season. Probably in that 100 to 110 range. I think they were 2 year olds.

Other than that I'm just waiting for daytime movement like you. A couple of my properties aren't worth hunting until the bucks start moving and its usually around October 20th.

I been hunting public land mostly ...only hunt my private ground if I have the 100% right wind and its not 80 degrees out. Sunday / Monday night have lows in the high 30's so ill be out in the woods no.doubt .....my best wind is a SSW though..

Great weekend for movement! The cold temps really had them on their feet. I saw a couple really nice bucks from the stand.

Last night I had three does and a spike feed right past me in the bean field at 10 yards. Wind was right in my face and the deer were clueless. My setup is perfect on this piece of property, I just need something more mature to do the same thing.

How did the weekend treat you guys???

hunting was great this weekend. saw lots of deer. that front had them on their feet i believe, bucks and does were moving good. Could have shot some does and got some points for us but holding out right now. There is an absolute monster in the area im hunting. biggest deer ive ever seen. My buddy saw him once and i saw him twice without a shot opportunity. I wouldve shot a doe but dont want to take the chance of messing that area up.
