I didn't have even a 1% inkling what my teacher's political views were in high school or college for that matter and that's how it should be in my opinion.

California, funny we just has a meeting where someone called the entire office for high wages and not worth it.

Is it condescension the poorest and least educated states are all conservative?

How did the Kansas Conservative model tax plan workout ?

Here in Michigan Devos has had her hands in our education system the past ten years, we have gotten worst ever since. Her conservative model just plain blows, in fact Michigan is now one of the worst in the country.

We could do this all day, point is neither model works, sometimes I feel like I am held hostage by these people

Perhaps, since they tend to be commodity producing states that barely produce enough to survive. Commodities that are kept affordable for those in all states to consume. It's also interesting to note that not too long ago, the ten poorest states by income all had Democratic governors and three of them even had Democratic controlled legislatures. So beyond condescension, it may be just inaccurate.

One could argue that the poorest states have by far the most affordable housing and in a way that makes for a higher standard of living for the poor there than in the more wealthy "Blue" states. That may be why the poor there continue to vote more Republican, because they see how their poor friends suffer in "blue" states that often have housing that costs twice as much, leaving the poor homeless. The poor in the south and Midwest may not have big, beautiful homes, but they have a roof of their own. Most "blue" states cant say that.

I don't want to live in either of those states/District

    Michigan > Iowa;)

I agree, teachers and professors are there to facilitate the lesson plan, not use their personal ideology as a platform in the classroom.

The classroom is no place for a teachers personal agenda. They need to stick to the curriculum.
