Went into the taxidermy shop that I work at and found out that my deer and lynx are tanned and ready to mount. I'm going in today to start the taxidermy process... Im mounting the deer first cause the lynx is a full body and I havent made the form for it yet. I'll take as many pics as I can and post them later. Very Excited!!!
That would be cool Kyle, I know I would like watching your photos as you move along with the progress.
well today I got the horns mounted on the form and re-fleshed the hide to get it ready for tomorrow when i mount it. Heres a couple pics... Its a small deer but its my first big game animal and it was with a bow. The deer: Horns mounted to form: Forming the skullcover:
Its very close to being done now. I have to let the paint dry and then I can bring it home. Heres a couple more pics. I'll post more when its completely finished.
