Local taxi burned down the other week. One of my clients had his 150"+ deer and hundreds of others burned up. Sad day. Guess I never even thought of that happening before but definitely sucks for all those involved.

Well I have done a controlled burn on switch grass and found antlers after and they look awesome. It's not much consolation but better than nothing

Biggest antlers in my collection have been found on prescribed and wild fires. When I moved I thru out 2 big boxes of charred antlers and skulls.

    So true!
Years ago, I did prescribed burns. It was amazing what we found after everything was charred.

I've never done the taxidermy thing. Well maybe it's bc I've never killed a really big buck. Haha.

It is actually the smallest buck I have killed, but it was the hardest earned buck. The Fire Finger Buck is on the wall.

Just got a double mount bracket delivered today from “Full Range Hanging Systems”. I just put it up, it’s slick how you can switch the mounts around at different heights. Here’s a couple pics.

Nice one! What state uses the blue tag on the antler like that?

Got a turkey back the other day. For the shape it was in when i dropped him off this guy did great. Had to use artificial head. Not a complaint but the airbrushed head is a little too pink for my liking. I made the perch mount for it out of some driftwood. Cut part of the end off and made it come out of the base. Have it on the wall in the mancave but still need to do some rearranging down there. IMG_6300.jpeg IMG_6532.jpeg IMG_6534.jpeg IMG_6535.jpeg IMG_6536.jpeg
