Doesn't IL have a serious state budget issue as well?

 

Yes Illinois is in shambles. I think it topped California this year for the worst state to reside. Years and years of Democratic corruption.

 

I lived in NY for 9 years, and now in IL for 3. IL is far better on nearly everything unless you are living in Cook County.

 

Yea when you look at total tax liability and incidentals NY is worst on state wide basis by far.

 

Boy NY must really suck then if IL is better.

NY easiest state to get public assistance. That money has to come from somewhere. Broome county aka Doome county.

 

well actually if you are a disabled vet, IL is the place to be. zero property tax

 

I guess that's true. We decided that once we had kids, my wife would stay home until they were off to kindergarten. But in reality it's almost a wash...what she was making full-time in non-profit field barely covered daycare costs.

Kidless and two incomes...those were the days!!!
