Anyone here cut the tarsals off of yours or other peoples bucks and use them? We do it quite a bit up here and they work very well.

I've got 2 fresh ones (from last fall) in the freezer. I always use cable-ties and lash them to my treestand.

I'm going to try attaching them to a decoy this fall.

I also always keep them frozen, but use them in the same year.

What are the chances of buck scent being 20+ feet in the air:alien:

I usually put mine about 20 yards out.

I'll have one out hoping to get a deer to stop in a shooting lane. I have 2 in the freezer from last year.

My dad use to save them for his cousin but we don't anymore. I am thinking I am going to save the glands this year if I kill a buck.

Every time that one of us gets a buck the glands come out. I've had great luck using them.

I've tried it before but I've never had any success with it. One of my friends buys the Code Blue tarsal gland in the glass jars, he swears by them.
