Well, when you're the smartest guy you know you can always have the benefit of being right. It's better than the internet. I knew from seeing it happen first hand. After you said it was the dumbest thing you'd ever heard I googled it and found the same thing on several forums years old. You can keep arguing about it all you want, it won't make you any more right than you were in the initial post.
I said this foam, which refers to the foam the OP was using when making the target. L2 Read.. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
It's easy enough to prove, take the foam and push the arrow in by hand and pull it out by hand then shoot the arrow in and try to pull it out. Just because you disagree with something doesn't make it wrong either.
Right, I agreed with that in my original post and suggested a different type foam to the op. One that doesnt bond to carbon under the friction and heat. Do some research on YouTube. Then you will see its not the dumbest thing you ever heard.
Yeah yeah, I cut part of the original post out and didn't proof read it before I posted it...I edited it before you even posted your complaint. WTF got up your butt today, is it that time of the month for you again already?
Sounds serious, maybe you should be more careful what you're ramming around in your bum. The guys above said spraying them with Pam makes them easier to remove, lol!
Nah. To much burnt up flesh on those shafts. Makes it rather rough. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
If its not melted to the shaft thentell me what this is.. it wont come off either the arrows are pry ruined and the only way to get them out is to hammer the end that is out the other side jis enough to break it loose then you can jus pull it. If its not melted then please explain. Im enjoying the conversation jus dnt ever build a target out of this stuff
You could try taking the foam off with a little acetone on a rag. Might try a test spot before getting too brave with it. I'm not sure what effect it will have on the carbon shafts. I think back when I had a cheapy walmart target do that to mine, I just skinned it off with a an old broad head. I admit I didn't worry too much about it though as I have a set of arrows I specifically practice with that match my hunting arrows.
That's exactly what my arrows looked like when it happen to me. Once again I would start with what Covey suggested, that's the same thing I would do.
I've heard of guys using a little bottle of baby oil to dip their arrows in before shooting 3d targets. Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
