Could be a ton of variables. Flecthing could be bad, arrow shaft, rest could be hitting, form could be off. Video yourself shooting at 20 and at 40. If there are no changes, it is mechanical. Even the slightest change in form could cause the miss.

If it is consistent, look at everything that touches the shaft. Make sure the fletchings are secure.

A slight move of the sight might be the answer. It might just be the placement of your 40 pin. What happens at 30 and 50?

Sounds to me like you are tourqing the bow, not enough to notice at 20, but it rears its ugly head at 40.

Another good reason to practice longer shots, issues that may not appear at short yardages will show up.

Hand torque is the likely culprit. If it isn't, you want to move your rest to the left, not the right.

Good point, if you are missing left, you want to move it to the left, nit the right.

I have always moved my rest the oposite. Meaning if my arrow is hitting left I move it right. You chase the arrow with the sight. If it is hiting right you move right. Hitting it left you move it left. Doing it this way worked great for me 2 days ago.

Could be a bunch of stuff. Longer distances expose poor form or faulty set-up. First make sure your set-up is correct then experiment. Examples, making sure you don't torque your bow/ that your arrow is suitable for your bow, etc.
