Same here Mike. My cattail slough hunting is going to be very interesting this fall. I went out and bought a pair of Wetland Muck boots with the pull up side extensions that go well above my knees. It was that or hunt in hip boots.

I am just hoping by this fall... I won't have to get chest waders if this darn rain doesn't stop !!!!!

Best of luck this fall with you hunting !!

Yes sir. I have a lot of cameras out right now in effort to confirm a select few made the winter. Like Fran said a few new ones will show up most likely. There is one particular buck that I hope I locate this summer.

There are 4-5 bucks that I have been thinking about all winter. I have found sheds and was able to catch them on camera after the hunting season. I have some cameras out as we speak. I will be checking them in another week or two. I hunt two different properties in Michigan, and I have a certain buck for each of those that I would REALLY love to track down and kill.

I think right now there are a total of about 10 good ones between 2 properties that survived hunting season last year, not sure about the winter yet. I'll put up cameras in a few weeks to try to get a good idea of who stuck around. If they made it I should have 3-4 bruisers.

From reports from the neighboring landowners no large bucks were taken during the deer season(s) last year so I am hoping they made it thru the winter and the local poachers. Will be putting out cameras hopefully this weekend around working. Unfortunately it is a 2.5 hour drive each way. Never got these 2 on film during daylight hours, but one of the neighbors saw the smaller one. No one (who lives in the area) knows about the larger guy, though. My Dad and another hunting partner swear that they had him within 50 feet while dressing out a doe during the October antlerless gun season last year. Apparently, he walked right up to them following the doe with his head to the ground. She must have been an early estrus doe as it was only the second week in October. How do you attach pics fullsize versus these little thumbnails?
