I haven't started the research yet for Target Bows and I'm madly in love with the Bowtech Heartbreaker but I'd be limited to the Female Hunter Class.

On the off chance I can convince Doug I need both  any suggestions?

You just got a new bow. You don't need two. You want to hunt.

I want the Heartbreaker AND I want to be able to do more in target archery. You have no basis for wanting or needing two bows ;)

if wanting a bow for shooting 3d the vantage elite plus is one of the best out there for spots i would look into the alpha elite. but the heartbreaker will shoot just as good if you get good with it only thing to bump up in classes just change the site an stab setup

A Martin Threshold is a good one to start with, easy enough for beginners but not "beginner" quality, I'd give it a look

There aer many out there. What is your approx DL and DW you are looking at shooting. The hoyt elite series, are top of the line. A good one that is very adjustable and doesnt hurt the wallet s bad is the Mathews Mission Rally. Every company out there has some good ones but it is dependant on what DW and DL you need.
