Yes, 13 3/8 Inside Spread. Very narrow, but what he lacks in inside spread, he makes up in tine length.

Oh most definitely! stud buck! I just wanted to see if he would have been a legal buck for me too shoot. In North East Texas, many counties, including my county, has very strict antler restrictions. I can shoot two bucks in bowie county, my county. One buck has to have at least one unbranched antler, like a spike. The other legal buck to shoot is a buck with an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. Crazy to think that this massive buck just barely makes the cut to being a legal buck for me to take!

Yeah, I always thought that was a silly way of limiting what bucks you can shoot. Trying to field judge a bucks antlers is already pretty tough, but trying to quickly decide if it's over 13 inches wide seems almost impossible. I wonder what would happen if you shot a buck like this one that had less than 13" inside spread.

They, meaning the game wardens, can give you a citation from the county, as well as the state giving you a citation. Then if the guy wants to be a d bag the game warden can confiscate it. I am actually an intern with the game wardens here in my county. I have actually asked them both the same question. Both of them said, as long as its not blatantly under 13 inches then they won't do anything. But if it is noticeable a smaller deer, they will.
Again great buck! I hope one crosses my path real soon!

Here's a few proper daylight trophy photo's. I was surprised to learn that this is now my highest scoring buck to day. I knew he was a good 8pt, but what I didn't realize was just how big his body was and how that reflected in what I thought he would score. I honestly thought that he'd possibly go 135 to 140. I still haven't broken the 150 mark, but I'm inching closer. He scored 149 1/8 which managed to just outscore the buck I called Rocky which came in at 148 6/8. Now I just need to figure out which form I want for the mount.
