Looks like a great time, Joe. Our state bunny hunt (NCBA) is coming up. I'm gonna try to make it.

    Thanks for sharing!

Do it Jeff, its a blast! I look forward to the end of deer season so I can start chasing rabbits! I was out every afternoon last week. I got off 3 shots during the week and a couple more on saturday! Going back out tomorrow, sun shining is best for them around here, they soak it up!

Russ it wasn't to bad this year, I had on a flannel and my G. Fred Asbell wool mackinaw and was working up a sweat! Good times! Last year was a different story, it was about 2 degrees when we first went out and about 5 degrees when we went back to the clubhouse!

Hunting rabbits In the snow Is a blast!! The weather was great for them guys Russ, you southern boys don't know what cold Is. ;) I was thinking about you the other day Joe wondering when you guys were getting together to do your rabbit hunt. Glad you had a good time. We used to do this all the time In the winter months after deer season was over, had a blast and got allot of bunnies. Most of the guys were all traditional guys too like you guys look to be.

Jeff- Hunting rabbits with out snow Is tough but at least the leaves won't be on any bushes so you should be able to see some what. The snow sure helps us up here. Best of luck to you guys as well!!

That's backward from here. Hunting them w/o snow here is almost too easy, but then, our bunnies are white in the winter.

What do you guys use for arrows & heads? I'm using a flu-flu with an old beat up (but sharp) Montec on it.

I suppose the type of rabbit would make a big difference. Here we have cotton tails, easy to spot In the snow (their brown).

Same broadheads I use for everything else (Snuffers). I use the same exact arrow I use for my regular hunting.

Makes me wish I was back in Bridgeport (MCMWTC for the Marines)... Housing always had Jackrabbits runnin around, as big as my dog! no lie. I have never seen Jack Rabbits before that, so that was pretty impressive, watching Ozzy try after one of those. lol.

I'm pretty sure we have to use SGH's on our hunt.

Knowing some of these guys.....I'm glad. Not sure I want a bunch of sharp, pointy tips skippin' around me.

Is this all trad people? That's pretty cool! lol. I wanna do it too!

Edt: speaking of SGHs. Has anyone seen, or shot those ones that Easton was advertising? They looked kind of odd...

I use Ace Hex heads, Hammerheads, Judos and the new Red Feather Archery Talon, wicked small game head! I'm also using Flu Flu, some old broke carbon arrows that I trimmed up and footed with a 2216.
