With this being my first year bow hunting, when I went to the pro-shop they strongly encouraged buying a bow with light draw weight and a lot of adjustment. I was told its best to start out with a really light draw to learn proper form and techinque, and then slowly increase the draw weight untill you'er comfortable. This made prefect since to me. Now that i have been shooting for about 4 months and have become comfortable with my bow it is completely maxed out in every way possible, both draw lenghth and wieght. Will this have any effect on the longevity of the bow or effect the accuracy/performance?

I can't see how it would have a negative effect on the bow. You are still using it as it was designed and intended to be used at. The question now is are you ready to get a new bow and being able to up the weight?

Congrats and good luck on your first year bowhunting!
