My middle son and I got hit with a nasty stomach bug a couple of weeks ago. My toddler caught a cold that turned into pneumonia with a 105.7F fever a few weeks ago. Fortunately, antibiotics have cleared it up and he has only been dealing with teething the last couple of weeks. I work in a hospital, so a flu shot is a requirement. Which I think is stupid. I made it 30 years without ever having a flu shot or getting the flu until I started working here. Took care of my oldest two years in a row, before I got the shot and while he was on Tamiflu, for a week each time, never got it. Last year was the first time I ever had the flu, after I got the flu shot and six years after being forced to be vaccinated. I was fine within 24 hours, even though I tested positive for the flu. I am convinced flu shots have made me more vulnerable to it than I was before being forced to get the shot.
Well I finally gave up and called the Dr. " Welcome to the Flu" Really why did I get the flue shot for back in Oct.? Then the added BTW you have a couple of other viruses piggy backing on it ...Too late for tamiflu. So bed ,fluids, sudefed from pharmacist Claritin, delsym. Anyways they told me to expect 2wks...
