I was blessed to harvest this great buck. I passed him up last season. I found his shed this spring. He got much fatter, but he was still a large 7. Didnt get any bigger . He is an older deer.So he was a good buck to take. Not to mention the first hunt of the season was completed. By having my 5 yr old boy in the deer blind with me. I hag thought about letting the buck walk . But after a few minutes of watching him fade in and out of range .My son whispered (shoot him dad he is a big one). After releasing arrow my son . Said got em. I was greeted by a high 5 .He also said arrow is hanging out the other side lets go get him. Now how awsome is that. Please take a child hunting. This is somthing we will both remember..
