Very Nice - great looking deer! ...don't sleep the rest of the season away...a little doe patrol might be in order - at least keep your buck/doe kill ratio 1:1
I plan on killing a few does before it's all said and done, but not off this farm. There's not a lot of deer there (probably because we slaughtered the does a few years back) so I'm trying to get the numbers up a little higher. Mike's got a spot that's overrun with does, so we're going to do some management over there for sure. May even con Graf into letting me whack one off his place in December too.
He's a 3 1/2 year old buck, but the coloration in his face makes him look older. I've got a few trail cam photos of him last year as a 115-ish 7 point. Field dressed 195 lbs though, which puts him around 230 on the hoof. Here he is back in September One one of my favorites from October. Can't see his rack, but I just really like this photo. A very pretty deer.
