This is my third season hunting with the first two using shot gun & rifle and making more rookie mistakes than I can count (or tell) and seeing plenty but getting nothing. In August I bought a Mission Craze and practiced in earnest. Tagged my first deer on Tuesday.

As any good hunting story goes, it's a long one and will skip to this part: When I released the arrow, everything became in slow motion, from the arc of the arrow's trajectory, to it hitting the deer, to the surprised jump and escape.

Is this customary? It really took me by surprise...

Welcome to "the zone", I've experienced this a lot not only in bowhunting but moreso in sports in high school and college. It will definitley keep you coming back. It is part of why I love bowhunting so much.

Where you hunting in the Matrix? That'll explain why the deer was wearing sunglasses too.

Gotta love the slow-mo effect. Hang in there, it will happen for you! Good luck!
