Sooooo, probably going to start acquiring parts to cross another off the firearms list, a tactical shotgun.

Anyone have or build one? What do you have? Did you build or buy? Parts list?

What are you looking to do with it. Do you want an extended mag? semi-auto? I personally would just buy an m1 bennelli. Much easier to just buy one all set up. It's easy to swap parts off it and very reliable.

Good god man, you never stop:D Who's going to hold all these when you move to the third worst state in the US? :D

I have a Benelli Nova Tactical. It's short, light wieght, and affordable. It's bed side protection, so it doesn't need bells and whistles. It just needs to fire when I pull the trigger. I know you're probably looking for something a little more high end, but that's all I've got:D

I went the kind of cheap route. Picked up a barrel & collapsable pistol grip stock for my 500. I can hunt anything that runs or flies or breaks into my house, with all the barrel/stock combos I have.

I have a Remington 11-87 police edition semi auto and a Maverick 88 pump pistol grip.

Both have extended tubes and 18.5 inch barrels.

What is the recoil like on it? I would assume fairly hash?

I had an 870 Police tactical for a while. If you are wanting to go the self built route I would either do an 870 or Mossberg 500

We have a mossberg 500 with the pistol grip, side saddle ammo holder and an ammo bearing sling.
My sister was able to use it to scare off a guy trying to bust down her door by simply ramping a round into the chamber. It's mostly black so you know, .....it's extra scary.

It's not a fun gun to shoot more than a few times. Particularly with heavier loads.

I want to get the extended tube for my 870. I keep thinking that I'm going to head over and try some of the nearby 3 gun competitions. I don't have a snowball's chance of doing well but it might be fun. Having the extra rounds in the tube would help. I'm an awkward and slow reloader. (Weak, left-handed, klutzy)
