Reminds me I guess it's time for me to mock up the 2013 Beard challenge decal like last year :)

I'm sitting here in the rain at my best hunting spot, waiting for the rain to stop so I can go check my cams. The Polaris is loaded up with corn and Monster Raxx and some more Coverts. Now we wait...

Well the cam check went pretty well, had roughly 7,000 pics. Got more pics of Wonky, more of the big buck with the triple brow tine, and 3rd and 7 showed up one afternoon. I'd post pics, but my internet is slow as molasses in winter time right now and I'm about out of data for the month on my phone. Put out some more Monster Raxx, which I have been putting a bag of mineral into each bag of corn I dump. I don't think they will have any mineral deficiency

Went and finally got a camera back out today. Of course as always, I was in a rush and had to hurry to come back home and get some work done. I need to get some more cameras now, I'm down to one out of four. I'm leaning pretty strongly at getting some Coverts....anybody ever heard anything good about those things?

I have never heard anything bad about them! I have 10 Coverts now, and I plan in buying a couple more before the season starts. What Covert cam are you thinking about? I have MPE5s, MP6s, Red 40s, and have 2 Extreme Red 40s on there way right now.

I don't know any one who like or uses Coverts. The cams are junk customer service is horrible and have you seen some of the people they employ??? Horrid....

Thoughts on adding a clause for Wonky. I feel if Cole shoots him, I KNOW I WOULD, he should for the sake of this competition not be punished. Perhaps grant 150. That would place Tacklebox with the necessity for a 150 inches of his own....thoughts?

I have thought of that, but I didn't want to seem scared of losing  I really don't know what Wonky would score, he's just......wonky lol. I'm having a tough time deciding whether or not I would shoot him if he came by my stand in the early part of the season. The new buck with the triple brow really has my attention.

Wonky should score 150 just for originality! :tu: So I am good with that!

I hear ya, but Cole just for what it's worth here's my opinion: When will you have another Wonky? I mean it could be genetics but I doubt it, my guess is something either illness, injury or just oddity caused him to do that....when will that repeat? You live in, on could argue, the greatest trophy producing states there is and you are young. Many years you'll chase bucks like some of the other giants...but Wonky could be one that doesn't repeat. Just food for thought. That one buck on our homestead small parcel called Hobble is a similar case. He's nothing special score wise, but we can confirm at the youngest he's a 5 1/2 but due to his injury he's not nearly the "rack" he would be if he'd not got injured. He's currently the only buck I'll probably shoot at the Homestead outside of a massive visitor showing due to the bucks at the Swamp Property...but I'll be honest, while it'd stink my Swamp Property would have to wait another year, Hobble has a story and an oddity to him few will replace and I'd be happy with him.

I couldn't blame ya for passing Wonky or shooting Wonky but either way take some pictures of Wonky from stand (video if you can) because you won't see many like that in a lifetime I'd suspect.

For memory's sake here's Hobble last season:

Why you gotta be so inspirational? Haha I feel like I should be getting ready to go kill Wonky after that pregame motivational speech.

It's gonna be a tough decision, and if there is a Wonky Clause it's gonna be even tougher. But I can't let Tyni ad Snake win over TJ and I

HAHA! Dude I only said all that because that's the conversation I had to have with myself last season incase Hobble came by. Like I said though you wouldn't be wrong either way, but well worth "trying" to know if it should occur. Is it too late for me to put in for a Kansas tag and if drawn come hunt just Wonky? haha!
