I would like to hear why you prefer tabs over gloves and what are some time tested, quality tabs a person can look at. No in fighting please...I know everyone has their favorites. This is just to give me some ideas. Thanks

I used a glove for many years and thought a tab would feel awkward. Then one day and this was probably 20 years ago I made a tab just to fool around with it. I haven't used a glove since. I really don't know why I preferred to stick with the tab other than the simplicity of it. It didn't make a difference in my shooting. I just never had to buy a glove again because I could cut as many tabs as I ever needed from leather scraps. I have spare tabs in my truck, fanny pack, backpack, hanging on my back quiver, on my multi-tool pack I even have one on my hunting hat. I might have lost a glove but not a tab. Cordovan leather makes the best tab leather. There are several different types and styles, try them all. I personally don't like the ones with the finger spacers or hair.

Thanks...If you think about it, it makes alot of sense being able to have a bunch of extra tabs. Things can get lost easy. Why is it you don't like the tabs with finger spacers? Just curious so I can do some more evaluating. Another bad thing for me when it comes to gloves is I have to order mine on-line and the sizing can become an issue...There is only one style glove I can find in any stores in my area and I don't like it at all.

I've played with tabs off and on for the last 8 years. But, recently [3 months ago] I stuck with the tab deliberately to give it an honst try. I have to say I like the tab best ....as far as getting a good release, and now I'm use to it.
Not saying I wont ever go back to a glove, but I plan on sticking with the tab.......I plan on trying the S.A.M. Tab next. Stands for Super Archers Mit.

It's just personal preference. It felt foreign and cumbersome between my fingers.

Here's the tab pictures you asked to see.

Suede is OK to use but not great. A polished/cordovan leather is much better. In any case I would suggest waxing the tab, especially suede. Make sure you use paraffin wax not bees wax which is sticky.
