Any of you guys who use the common store bought "no pinch" tabs ever cut that little flap off from your index finger?
I did that just a week or so ago and I really like the way it feels and the smoothness of my release since doing so.

I had a tab one time that had a plastic spacer between the index and third finger, hated it. I took it out and it was fine. Is that similar to what you're talking about?

That's the tab, but I left the spacer in, but there is a little flap(part of the calf hair) in the slot where your fingers split, that's what I cut out.

Okay, I know the part you're talking about. Like I said I didn't like those tabs, so I cut my own.

VA.... when making your tabs, do you cut them finger tip length or a little longer?? You have a picture of your tab??

Makes total sense Jeff. I cut mine fairly short with my finger tips exposed!!!! Thats what I like about cutting my own, I can keep trimming them and if I cut em to short not a big deal!!!

To tell the truth I never thought about the length. After you asking me and taking a picture I'd say I cut them just about to the tip, maybe a little short. You can see from the picture that one is really over worked and one is still pretty new. I use any kind of leather I have available. I have cordovan ones, regular/smooth leather ones and suede ones, some thick, some thin. A good source for tab leather is thrift shops. You can find old boots and handbags really cheap.

I used to use the kant pinch tab with the rubber wedge between the fingers but have been using a Neet glove for many years now. Kinda thinking about giving the tab a try again. Thanks
