I guess it's not a big surprise but now it is official.

Good riddance. As you can imagine, fans are not real happy with him here in Columbus. I got a sneaking suspicion that Pryor wasn’t going to see the field again, had he stayed.

Well good news is now he does not have to cooperate with the NCAA, the bad news is there at least 4 more who are going to go.

TP era and the Rod era both will go down as the worst in school history. Those two deserved each other.

Well, my drug-dealer / addict statement is starting to take shape....... :D

Good riddance to a guy who had way too much attitude, and may have been the kingpin in the fall of a pretty good coach. Though again, had the coach done the right thing in April of 2010, he may still have his job.

I do not think he is a bad kid, he just made really bad decisions where he put himself, his teammates, coaches and university in a really bad spot.

I cannot say I am sad to see him move on. However, I do wish him the best of luck getting things straightened out in his life.

So, what about the whole, we will let you guys play in the Sugar Bowl but serve your sentence next year?

My money is on the bowl win last year being revolked when this all said and done, which sucks for Arkansas who would have destroyed OSU without those 5 players (how the game should have played out the first time around).

That was not an NCAA stipulation, that was Tressels rule for them. They were cleared to play by the NCAA however per Tressel if they wanted to play in the Sugar Bowl they had to return for their senior year to serve their suspension.

Even if the bowl game is vacated, if I am Arkansas I would have rather played tOSU at their best, not a depleted squad. I think any competitor would agree.

Ask the ex players from Oklahoma if they think they should be the Natty Champs from 04 since USC's NC was vacated. I doubt any of them would want it.

Also, we're talking tattoos here, T.... it's not like the ink gave a single Buckeye any super-human strength, althleticism or a superior coaching. That all just came naturally ;)

That's my point, no one wants a vacated game in which they actually lost. The act of vacating does nothing for the other team that was actually cheated.

Would Oklahoma players have loved the chance to crush USC without Reggie Bush suiting up for the game? Sure thing since he shouldn't have been in the game in the first place!

The NCAA clearing was the joke of the situation to begin with. They tried to make it apparent they would take the hard stance on situations last year (USC, UK's Enes Kanter, etc) then when OSU's golden child QB gets caught red handed, they say well you shouldn't have done it, but lets just let by gones be by gones. Hell, we'd rather wait five years to make the decision we know is right and strip you guys of the season after the fact. Let's face it, not letting TP play would have killed TV ratings for the Sugar Bowl, and retro active punishment stirs up talk/coverage of the NCAA at a later time.

tOSU got shamed in this whole mess, but IMO the NCAA made themselves look just as bad, if not worse. Inconsistency is about the only thing they are consistent at.

And I guess Reggie Bush's mansion gave him a faster 40 speed or superior ball handling skills?

I think the whole system is a sham, but if you have rules in place you might as well make everyone follow them equally. Mallet and his boys didn't use their name and fame to get free tats and possibly even cars. But now they get to be the proud losers of a game that will soon not even exist in the record books. Good initial call on the evidence found before the game even took place NCAA.

I guess this means tOSU's record vs the SEC will soon return back to a solid 0-9. DOH!:moose:

So much hate in you for being such a young man...

I guarantee you every program in the nation has ineligible players playing from taking extra benefits. If you do not realize that you are living in a dream world.

tOSU is .500 against SEC teams. That was their bowl record. I never took you as one of the SEC SEC SEC chant homers.

There is entire network in C-Bus that appears to be helping out the Star players, my issue is the other 95%+ doing it right at tOSU and getting screwed.

No wonder Tressel out recruited Carr;)

So where is Pryor going? I don't see too many NFL teams that would even think about scooping him up. His character is set in this sport now. He really should think about staying for an education because that is his only chance . I'm guessing within 5 years his name will be in the press again and more than likely it won't be in a positive way.

Do you want fries with your meal sir?:jerry:

Yes this wolverine is extreme broken up not having to face TP ever again. He was extremely talented football player and had the skills to control the game.
