There really is some great country in NY. It's a shame the NYC association is targeted for the whole state. Like said, NYC is a small piece in the grand scheme of things. The Adirondacks, Finger Lakes Region, southern tier etc... some really nice land. Most of us are just transplanted rednecks lol.
Its going to be Game On !!! We are getting a frost here tonight.... The 3 acre Shot Plot food plot looks awesome and the apples are on the ground that surround it....losts of sign and plan on getting out there !!
I laid in bed from 2:00am - 3:30am thinking about all my setups and when, where, and why I wanted to hunt them lol. This is easily the longest week of the year. Thursday night I'm having a bunch of guys over. Venison chili, venison stew, summer sausage, jerkey, slim jims, backstraps on the grill, some beer, some hunting shows and mess around with our bows. Anyone want to come?
NY, I would LOVE to come.....but I have ballroom dance lessons with the wife.... ..... I know, I ...know....where do I turn in my man card? :D
Unfortunately NYC is the only part I've ever seen. Last time I was there I was still in the Navy and my ship was there for Fleet Week. Two other Chiefs and I were in our summer white uniforms headed to Hogs & Heifers Saloon and some idiot rode by on a bicycle and yelled "Babykillers!" and then took off. We yelled and tried to get him to come back but for some reason he went even faster... I've always figured the rest of the state wasn't like that. It's good to know I was right.
