I have two tree stands posted on my property, both are climbers. I have one placed on a old logging road, which is a travel path for some bucks. I typically see a decent buck every couple days in the past years from this stand. Not many does though. Then I have one placed just on the woodline, it faces an apple orchard and some thick brush where they typically bed in the morning. Just wondering should I switch my stands up from day to day? It seems everytime I switch my uncle says he see's deer on the woodline when im not hunting that stand, but I've never seen a buck there , just does. So dont want to miss my chance at a buck at the other spot.
I think it is too early in the season to give up on a spot yet because of the changing weather and really just because the deer haven't established a set routine yet. Unless you have them patterned for moving on a specific trail or at a certain time of the day, I wouldn't move too much yet. If you're set on taking a buck, stay on the logging road. Keep in mind though, that once that rut starts, they will most likely be all over the place.
