With the Sept. 15th opener here in MO getting closer every day and me not having time on the weekends to shoot 3D anyhow, I am switching to my hunting set up now. Back to my FMJ arrows and installing the cat wiskers on the strings. Time to practice like I mean business. Gonna set up a couple bows and shoot both of them regularly just in case I have a problem with one. All I'll have to do is grab the other one and I'll feel right at home.

It's time to get the Hunting Face on.:deer:

I havn't even thought about my arrows or broadheads yet.... I really need to get on the ball. I have an idea of what I will be using... some FMJ's with either N.A.P. Crossfires or Rocky MT. Snypers. I gotta get with the game and figure out what I wanna try out this year!

All I have to do is screw my BH's back on my arrows and shoot a few more and I'm good to go. The only difference in my set up is the ends of my arrows!

Yep, soon I'll be heading down the same path. Need to build some new arrows and get my broadheads tuned. I'm ready!

I agree with you John, it is time to start getting your game face on. I put my 3D bow down almost a month ago and have been shooting nothing but my hunting bows. I believe I have both of my hunting bows dialed in, should be no issues once I hit the woods. I have three sets that need to get to put up still, but those should be done in the next two weeks.

    August 13th for me.:busted:

I just bought another dozen Camo 340 FMJs to rig up, with some after shock 25 grn screw in weights to accompany the Rage 2 blades, my arrow does better with a 125 grn head. This gives me right around 20 or 21 fully rigged FMJS, with enough Rages or Strikers to accompany for a while. I shouldn't need arrows for a few years now to be honest.

After this weekend's shin-dig, I won't shoot my "back-up/3D" bow anymore. Except to maybe try & sniper the groundhog in the neighbor's wood shed.

x3 having a two year old and only 1 income tends to put a damper on my hunting budget. :violin:
