Just bought a 2011 Hoyt Rampage. 28" @ 70#. Absolutely love it. The draw cycle on it is phenomenal. My wife shot the Hoyt Vixcen and Mathews Jewel and loved them both. She's considering trading her PSE Chaos in for the Vixcen. I think the next bow I'm going to buy though is a Mathews though. I liked the Mathews a tad bit better than the Hoyt, but the price on the Mathews was a little big for now. Anyway, just thought I'd share!

Great choice! What are the specs on your wifes PSE? If she decides to get rid of it let me know. Might be interested in buying it.

I like the rampage a lot. A guy was buying one the same time I was buying my Mathews. The tech set up his bow and he went over to the range to shoot it while the tech set mine up. About 10 later he came back in holding a robin hood.

Rampage or Rampage XT, just curious as there is a lot of difference in the cams and limbs. Either way, You moved up from PSE! :D :p

I sent a request to the admins. a few weeks ago about having my username changed, but haven't heard a reply. Hopefully it'll be changed soon though. :tu:

And thanks guys. It's the Hoyt Rampage. I'm not prejudice against any bow manufacturer. Out of all the bows I've shot I've liked Mathews, Hoyt, and Bear the most (in that order actually). Mathews and Hoyt are a close shot. The IBO is 306, 7 inch BH, 34 a2a. It shoots really nice.

I actually just bought my 7 year old cousin a Bear Brave 3 for her birthday this year. She bought all camo stuff this year saying she wanted to be like my wife lol. I'll post some pics and maybe some vids of the new bow. I've been shooting it about everyday and I'm still impressed with the draw cycle in comparison to my old PSE! A lot quieter, smoother draw, really solid backwall, it comes out of the valley really nice.

My wife is confused with either trading her Chaos in for the Vixcen now or waiting until next year and getting a Mathews Jewel! I say go with the 2nd option. :)

You know if she buys that vicxen, she's going to have a higher dollar bow than you right? That's a man card revocation....

Before I bought this bow, I was using a PSE Nova, which is a very cheap bow in comparison to other bows. Her bow was higher dollar than mine then. Her car is newer and has more features than my truck. She's getting a Sportsman XP this spring, while I'm driving a Vinson still. And last, but not least....thanks to her dad, she has more guns than me right now.

She doesn't want the Vixcen no more I don't think, I'm pretty sure now she's obsessing over the Mathews Jewel, but then again I don't blaim her. In the next 2-3 years we're both gonna buy Mathews bows.

It's all good, I switched to Hoyt also, I went with the XT, just hasn't got here yet... While my wife is also begging for a Vicxen, she has a browning micro adrenaline now. :p

I shot the CRX32 and my wife wanted me to get that one, but my family is in the processs of starting our own business and we're saving up $, so I was on a bit of a budget. The specs of the CRX32 and the Rampage XT are basically identical except for the weight. IBO/323, BH/7, A2A/32. Great specs all around. The only difference is machined vs. cast riser though and the CRX32 without anything (no whisker biscuit, peep, sight, nothing) was like $750. I got the Rampage for $400.

They didn't have the Rampage XT in stock and it would've costed another $150 or so and I would have had to wait two weeks and once I started shooting those bows I was way to anxious to bring one home. I liked the Mathews Z7 Xtreme the most of all the ones I shot that day. I shot the Carbon Matrix, Carbon Element and CRX32. I shot the Rampage XT a few weeks ago at the same shot and liked it. Needless to say, I liked the Hoyt and Mathews bows a lot better than the PSE lineup I shot personally.
