I shoot Rage 2 blades for hunting. We tune with Montecs to get our bows set up correctly. Both the Montecs and Rage practice tips fly the same out to 40 yards. Haven't shot past that yet.

I shot Muzzy for years, with no issues. Shot Rage one year, now back to dependable Muzzy.

Ive shoot both fixed and expandable. Its personal preference. but with the price, dependability and toughtness of the muzzy mx-3s i dont think you can beat that, i got my bow perfectly tuned about 3 months ago and my mx-3s fly just like my field tips out to 120 yrds when im target practising. My opinion - why switch from a simple and great broadhead like the muzzy to an expandable??

if your looking to go to a mechanical go with rage or NAP killzones. I used the killzones last year and they are WICKED. shot two deer the farthest going about 50 yards. Massive holes, great blood trails, and stay true to your field points. This is the inny from the buck i shot last year A5HhfUbCcAAs4_y.jpg

ive been thinking about making the exact opposite switch. I love my Grim Reapers but i just dont like having to worry about a blade not opening. Up to this point, the damage the GR's can do is scary but i know some of the fixed blades can do just as much. And now with Flying Arrow Archery's Toxic's making the buzz they are, i might be making the switch if i can see the Toxic prove itself on some game.

I made the switch from Muzzy to Rage 2 years ago. Shot a deer and got a clean pass-through and a fantastic blood trail. Then I decided I wanted a fixed blade again so I shot Muzzy again and shot a doe and a 10-pointer but didn't like the blood trail so I went to Slick Tricks. Shot an 8-pointer with the slick tricks and got a better blood trail but it was nothing like the Rage. I don't think I'll be switching back to a mechanical though. I may. I'm very up in the air. I'd rather have a broadhead that I KNOW is going to work than have to think "Well, IF it works it'll be awesome." I just can't see passing up a sure thing. That being said I still have Rages and will probably use them if I get a chance.

Shot rage with good luck then switched to t3's liked the clip better than rages o-ring. But I also didn't like the thought of blades not opening. I'm using the qad exodus and st viper will soon find out how good they perform. Have read a lot of good thing on the exodus.
