Did you hit any kind of bone besides ribs? I'll be honest I probably shouldn't have included ribs...because any of us with experience will admit they are rather easy to break and plow through. The 9 times out of 10 just as a disclaimer is not factually based through a study either. That is more or less my opinion derived from personal experienced of others whom I know very well.

IF a Swhacker keeps it's blades on and can blast through a shoulder with ease like a single beveled head than I will graciously admit I'm wrong...ain't no shame at all.

Changing your statement to not include ribs is more accurate.

I have not shot a deer with a swhacker in the shoulder & hopefully never will.

I will edit the original post because yeah I think we all agree if your broadhead gets mangled by a simple rib...you probably shouldn't be shooting it (I can think of one major mechanical that I have personally seen do this sadly).

Yes I have had that happen first hand too. Mine was a 2-Blade rage. Maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I am sure they are stronger now.

I love threads where people show both their expertise as well as their ignorance, especially when their ignorances comes out while trying to explain what an expert they are. Then they get called on it, their panties get in a wad, and you know the rest of the story....

Lots of posts on here good and bad. I've been shooting schwakers for 2 seasons now. I love the. Pass through on all shots except two unintentional spine shots. Also took down a great 10 pt. I love the accuracy durability and cut diameter. I agree the entry is not much but I've never had a deer go more than 40 yds using these (that's 8 deer btw). My only complaint , and it could be my or the arrow; but 6 out of 8 of those kills were perfect entry position but terrible exit point. I wonder if somehow the broad head deflects off of a rib causing it to change direction exiting off course. Anyone else ever experience this?

Sounds like my broadhead from another company. Works great with a well placed shot!

I think we're totally missing the REAL debatable issue...........Boxers or Briefs, let's get that one settled first and move on to less trivial subjects :)
