By far one of my favorite shows!! Cant wait for the premier!!

They only do that for a month so yea there is no way and not to mention the money they get just from the show itself.

The one guy said he made 40g's last year and he only caught one on the marathon I watched Sunday (i.e. he sucked); so i can only imagine what the other guys killing 200+ can make in a month.

Nope...don't watch it. I'm tired of white guys acting stupid and redneck. Everyone has to be a commedian. No one is a hunter anymore. They're first a commedian and then act stupid. Seems like all the hunting shows are taking on that theme. I really don't need to see someone making hunters look like fools and stupid. I don't need to watch 20 minutes of a show where it has nothing to do with hunting. They're making fools of themselves or someone else for most of the show.

I usually don't agree with old people, mostly because, well they're old, but I have to admit that I agree with this.

It is only a matter of time before I'm yelling at the neighborhood kids to "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

I was standing next to one of these dudes at the ATA Show this year and people were taking photos and whatnot with him. I had absolutely no idea who he was. Never seen the show, but it sounds interesting.

I'm with Hooker in that most reality TV I just don't get into much anymore. It's all sensationalized, edited and staged to be far more dramatic than it really is. We participated in a filming for Wife Swap a few years back and after seeing what really happens behind the scenes, I lost interest in most of it.

Although I still enjoy a good episode of Ice Road Truckers or Axe Men every now and again.

Care to elaborate a little more? I have always wondered how much is scripted/staged, and how much is real

Decent opening episode. Perhaps you can only show people hunting gators out of boats so many times before it gets old.

I watched it for the first time last night (well ... half of it anyway). Found it kind of boring. They just drive around and hunt gators? Doesnt' seem like something to watch on a weekly basis.

They were filming an episode locally here and want a place to come shoot some clay pigeons and some bows, so the producers arranged to bring everyone to our hunt club.

When they showed up it was the family plus about 10 other people including producers, camera guys, sound guys, etc. It was literally two big vans and another car full of people and stuff. It was clear that the people being filmed had already been coached on how to act and what to say. Not necessarily word for word, but the tone in which they were saying it, etc. If something happened that wasn't caught on camera or wasn't developed enough they would stop everyone, set them back up the way they were, and then coach them on what to say. Basically telling them how to be jerks to each other in order to cause more controversy than there really was. Off camera everyone was joking and hanging out. On camera they would have these kids saying pretty much the meanest things they could say to the stand-in mom.

In the end they cut our segment from the show entirely so Todd and I never made it on TV.
