wow he has put on some serious size! it would be cool if you got a pic of him with a shoulder scar! Hope you get a good shot at him this year!
Got him out of velvet finally. He's hitting one of my plots pretty regularly. My wife may get a chance at him yet again early season
Sorry i haven't kept up my threads lately...been super busy & haven't had time to be on the forum much. Survivor is still alive & well as of a week ago....my wife has been after him pretty hard & has almost killed him 3 times. He's very regular on the farm
Oct 31 was a day we could have killed him. I had just put a camera on a huge scrape that is 15 yards from one of my stands. It's about 200 yards from my main food plot. We decided to hunt another farm because it was raining....Guess what...he trashes the scrape in daylight & makes it to the plot just at last light. I picked him up on both cameras.
Nov 2. my wife was in the stand at full draw 15 yards away when this pic was taken. The bush on the far left of pic was blocking him from her. He didn't come to the scrape but skirted around it & she didn't have a shot.
Nov 9th I caught him cruising on a part of the farm where I've never had his picture. The 9th was the day I had by far the most mature buck movement according to my cameras.
We had a church event this day & didn't hunt....and of course he walks into my food plot in broad daylight...during gun season no less
On nov 24 we had a snowstorm blow through. Best hunting weather we have had all season. I put my wife back in the same tree she encountered him in earlier. He came out again....well before dark. Walked by her broadside at 15 yards, but when she drew her bow get breath fogged up her glasses and she couldn't see to make the shot. She was pretty upset about it...He got away again.
Dec 7....we didn't hunt, again because something came up....& he came in to the food plot again in daylight.
