Here is a pic of a Bobcat that was on my trail cam. We had heard a big cat a couple of times but did know if it was a bobcat or even a cougar. Very cool!
We have lots of bobcats here and I have never once heard them. So if you heard a big cat I would be very surprised if it was a bobcat. If it sounded like a woman screaming bloody murder, then you have a cougar. I have heard them and they will make your hair stand on end. Odd thing is, according to Arkansas game and fish, we do not have them here. Even though we have them on camera. Bobcats do make a noise, I have just never heard it.
