I'm a little surprised to see the number of students on this site. It's really tough to get much time to hunt during school, but it's nice to see a lot of students giving it their best. That's all. I just wanted to make that statement.
I am just glad to see so many younger people getting into hunting. I always hate meeting people that are older that have never fished or hunted or even enjoyed the outdoors.
I love it, I was in school when I started on another forum. I'd give anything to have my school schedule back though, I had way more time in school than I do know!
i had a ton of time last semester. this semester not so much. okbowhunter where do you go o school at? ok nevermind. seen where your at. kinda obvious ud be going to OSU
I just recently switched to a business major which has given me a lot more time. Before, I was pre-med and I stayed pretty damn busy.
as i think back, i could've had a lot of time to hunt if not involved in collegiate athletics, and even then coulda found some time!!!!!!
This semester is offering me alot of time to hunt. I kinda set it up that way. It's my last semester before I start in the real world in January so I figured I better go all out and get all of my hunting in now.
The way my schedule is set up I would have alot of time to hunt....if I was near my hunting spots. As it is, I pick out a few weekends when I am not busy, make the 180 mile drive home, and hunt hard for 2 1/2 days at a time.
Luckily there is alot of public ground around me and I can sneak out most afternoons. I've neglected a few semester projects though that I need to get started on so I'll probably have to cut my hunting time to weekends now.
Yeah this semester I would have a lot of time to hunt.... but not im about 1.5 hours away from our land. So I bust my but to get all my work done during the end of the week then I can just focus on hunting on the weekends.
Luckily I only go to school an hour from our farm, so I get to hunt as much as I want, really. We pound the geese around school though! Lots of good fields.
That's pretty much the same here. My schedule is almost good, all afternoons, but It would kill me in gas to drive a three hour round trip every day. So I skip my one Fri. class and hunt the weekend.
I am a full time student, and I have a schedule (and a wife)that allows me to hunt four days a week, plus a few evenings. And I will be 39 on next Tuesday.
I'm 33, work full time, full time college student and a single dad of 2. I'm living proof that where there's a will, there's a way
