Noticed a couple of weeks ago that our new freezer had decided to quit working . The repairman just left and we get another new freezer as ours had a leak that's not repairable .

Of coarse loosing the freezer didn't hurt near as bad as loosing the contents . I'm not real fond of having to eat beef for the next 1.5 months but I guess we have to do what we have to do . The only positive that I can find in this is that I have some extra freezer space that will need filled and season ain't that far off ..... Well that and I had the repairman fix the wife's dryer while he was here :)

We ran through our deer meat pretty fast too. Not good when you can see the bottom.

I've actually got my last pack of veni steaks marinating as I type this. Gonna grill them up tonight. All I have left from my doe last season is 1 pack of ground. I'm definitely glad its around the corner aswell.

Getting low.. Need to do some meat hunting this year I guess. Pretty much have unlimited doe tags this year ( 5 doe tags per day until they are gone). I'll be watching for a nice buck and I'll be looking for a nice fat doe or two. Love that venison!
