Why not? I've always said there should be a day off of work and school the day after the Superbowl. With all the stupid holidays, staff development days, snow days, scratch your butt day, etc... I think one of the most practical days to have off would be the monday following the Superbowl. One of the biggest sporting events in the nation. Kids and parents stay up late. For a lot of Americans it is viewed as a holiday of sorts.

So if they will never make the monday after the game a day off, why doesn't the NFL move it to Saturday? Still plenty of time between championship game and superbowl. Not going to be competing against any other show or sporting event. May actually increase ratings with people that can't stay up that late due to work or school next day. Should I call the comish?

Just like with everything else 99% of people in America make decisions to do; it will never happen. Why? Because it makes TOO much sense.

I would be 100% in favor of this. Either that or start the game earlier and/or give the halftime folks less time. Do we really want to see Madonna lip sync for 20 minutes?

Wouldn't matter to me In the least with my job. The dairy cows don't get holidays or any days off so neither do I get to.

I could never understand why they have it on Sunday, Saturday just seems to make so much more sense.

While I believe the Super Bowl is the most overrated event in sports, I do agree it would make more sense to have it on a Saturday.

I agree - i think it should be on Saturday.

However, I think it's worth more money on Sunday - better TV Audience... $$$ make it happen.
